What Information We Collect

When you make a donation through the Equality Case Files website, we collect certain personal and financial information from you in order to process your payment. This includes information that identifies you personally such as your name, address, telephone number, and email address in addition to financial information necessary to process your credit or debit card transaction.

If you choose to donate through Paypal, you will be redirected to the Paypal website to process your donation and will be subject to Paypal’s privacy policy.

Use and Disclosure of This Information

Except as described in this Privacy Policy, or as otherwise described at the time we request the information, we do not disclose your personal information to any third parties without your explicit consent, and we will never sell or trade your information.

We share personally identifiable information for the following purposes:

• As necessary to process your donation;
• To comply with the law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to the requirements of law or comply with legal process served on us.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time.  If we make any changes, we will note the date of the latest update at the bottom of this Privacy Policy page. If we change our privacy policy to be materially less restrictive on our use or disclosure of personally identifiable information, we will also place a prominent notice of this change on our website. If you donated to Equality Case Files prior to any such material change, the change in policy will not apply to any information you provided at the time of the previous donation unless we obtain your explicit consent.
